Annabel Sutherland and Travis Head are named Australia's top cricketers at an awards night missing the country's best men's cricket players.

It was the first time for each player to win Australian cricket's highest individual honours. While Head was a favourite for the top men's prize, also claiming the one-day international player award, Sutherland was third in the one-day voting and a distant sixth for the women's T20I international award.

Annabel Sutherland has rewritten the Australian cricket record books. The 23-year-old became the first woman to score a Test century at the iconic MCG, reaching the milestone in 193 balls to put Australia in a commanding position in the pink-ball Ashes contest against England.
