In a post made to social media platform “X” Thursday afternoon, Director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Joseph Edlow stated that President Trump ordered the organization to conduct a sweeping review of green card holders.

"USCIS is ready to uphold the law and ensure the refugee program is not abused," USCIS director Joseph Edlow wrote.

The Trump administration has initiated new interviews for refugees resettled under Biden's leadership, effectively suspending the Green Card application process. Citing concerns for national security,
