The driver of Jaffar Express, which was hijacked by Balochistan Liberation Army militants, has described the terrifying moment when the insurgents attacked the train as survivors praised the military for their rescue.

Jaffar Express, carrying 440 passengers from Quetta to Peshawar, is reported to have been hijacked as bogies were derailed after militants detonated an explosive under the train's engine.

MEA official spokesperson Rahdnir Jaiswal said Pakistan should look inwards instead of pointing fingers and shifting the blame for its own internal problems and failures on to others.
