Former All-Pro Punter Johnny Hekker's Contract Details in Free Agent Deal With Titans
The Tennessee Titans have agreed to a free agent deal with former All-Pro punter Johnny Hekker, according to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter. The 35-year-old Hekker's one-year deal, which will be fully guaranteed with the Titans, reunites him with special teams coordinator John Fassel, his former special teams coach with the Los Angeles Rams.
Titans bolster special teams with ex-All-Pro punter
The Tennessee Titans made a move in the hopes of improving the special teams unit by making a switch at punter. On Tuesday, the team informed Ryan Stonehouse that they were releasing him from the franchise.
Johnny Hekker agrees to terms with the Titans
Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that they have agreed to terms on a contract with Johnny Hekker. It will be a one-year pact between the team and the four-time All-Pro. The move reunites Hekker with Titans special teams coordinator John Fassel. Fassel had the same job with the Rams while Hekker was punting for the team from 2012 to 2019.

The Titans are signing veteran punter Johnny Hekker to a one-year, fully-guaranteed deal, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter. In Tennessee, Hekker will reunite with his first NFL coach, special teams coordinator John Fassel. Fassell held the same position with the Rams when Hekker signed with the team as an undrafted free agent in 2012.
