Israel continued operations in Lebanon between October 20 and October 26, 2025. These activities included targeted assassinations of Hezbollah operatives involved in the group’s regeneration efforts and strikes on its assets.

Israel continues to launch near-daily strikes in neighboring Lebanon. That's despite a U.S.-brokered ceasefire in the latest Israel-Hezbollah war nearly a year ago.

Hamas ceasefire has been widely celebrated, although some are skeptical of Israel's past alleged violations of truces.

BEIRUT (AP) — Israel carried out intense airstrikes on southern Lebanon early Saturday, killing one person, wounding seven and briefly cutting a highway that links Beirut with parts of south Lebanon, the Health Ministry said.

Israel has strengthened its security with a series of sweeping military victories in the past two years. It has also become far more isolated internationally, with no clear path ahead.

The Israeli military said it struck Hezbollah rocket and missile launchers as well as weapons storage sites in southern Lebanon, accusing the group of violating prior understandings between the two countries.
