Maj.-Gen. (res.) Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi, the recently resigned IDF Military Advocate-General, was found alive on a Tel Aviv beach Sunday evening after an hours-long search that began when she was reported missing earlier in the day.

Police arrest Military Advocate General, Major General Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi, along with the Chief Military Prosecutor. Both are being questioned on suspicion of obstruction of investigative proceedings and breach of trust.

IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir says he “welcomes the appointment of attorney Itai Ofir” as the next military advocate general. According to the IDF, Ofir was Zamir’s “leading candidate for the position.”
