A man accused of killing a congressional intern is now charged in the murder of a teen girl in Washington, D.C., just days after the U.S. House intern was shot.
AKRON, Ohio — A 20-year-old Barberton woman was killed early Monday morning in a shooting in the South Akron neighborhood, police say. The Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office says the victim, Ti’chara Williams, was pronounced dead at the scene on the 400 block of Stanton Avenue. She died of a gunshot wound to the torso.

California suspect accused of shooting, killing deputy crashes motorcycle during highway pursuit
Dramatic video shows a suspect in a fatal deputy shooting crashing his motorcycle in a high-speed chase in San Bernardino County, California.
Two portions of video show that the suspect fired about five rounds before an officer returned fire with about nine shots, including one that struck the man.
“As a recent graduate of Lincoln University, the news of the fatal shooting during Homecoming weekend was deeply heartbreaking,” said Osoname Fortune Omonagbe. From Abuja, Nigeria, Omonagbe graduated valedictorian. He also served as president of the African Student Association at Lincoln.
Fort Worth police said they found the man after reports of a shooting in the 2700 block of Woodmont Trail. Police learned he was the passenger inside a car driving near the intersection of the 6500 block of Brookhaven Trail and Altamesa Boulevard when someone in an unknown vehicle fired multiple rounds at the car.
The suspect in the Oct. 19 shooting in Alabama that left high school cheerleader Kimber Mills dead now faces a murder charge, according to officials.
