A pair of Texas Longhorns football players and three non-student athlete members of the athletic department committed sports wagering violations this past season, according to a report from the Austin American-Statesman.

Bracketology by USA TODAY's Eddie Timanus projects the Longhorns will miss the postseason. Texas is forecast as one of the last teams out of the field. Boise State, Colorado State and North Carolina join UT as the "first four out." Oklahoma, Ohio State, Xavier and Indiana are the "last four in."
