Alaska Airlines resumed operations nationwide late Thursday night after a "significant IT outage" caused the airline to ground all flights for hours.

U.S. carrier Alaska Airlines announced that it had grounded its flights at all airports on Oct. 23 due to an unspecified technology outage affecting its operations.

The issue comes as the government shutdown continues to cause occasional travel delays.
