The New York Knicks overcame the Denver Nuggets 122-112 on Wednesday, Jan. 29. As expected, the big-man battle between Nikola Jokic and Karl-Anthony Towns didn’t disappoint.However, it would appear that Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors wasn’t impressed with how Towns’ was instructed to guard Jokic.

Karl-Anthony Towns forced Nikola Jokic into early foul trouble, while Jalen Brunson led the New York Knicks’ late surge to secure their fifth straight victory. With the three-time NBA MVP sidelined, the Knicks ran away with a 122-112 win over the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden.

Towns has missed the Knicks' last two games after injuring his Thumb during a Jan. 13 loss to the Detroit Pistons. The star center played through discomfort, posting 26 points and 12 rebounds on 7-of-17 shooting from the field, 4-of-9 from three and 8-of-10 from the free-throw line. He declined to say whether he underwent X-rays following the loss.
