Rarely do players with the intention of playing two sports in college follow through with the plan. Trey’Dez Green was different, though, getting time in football and basketball at LSU. Brian Kelly and Matt McMahon both saw value in the 6-6 star at tight end and forward.

Entering the Week 9 contest against the Aggies, Kelly holds a 2-1 record coaching against the Maroon and White since being named head coach of the Tigers in December of 2021. While Texas A&M will be fighting to keep an unblemished record, LSU is looking to keep its head coach off the hot seat by keeping hopes of postseason play intact.
Linebacker Whit Weeks has been ruled out, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel, who initially reported Friday that the standout defender was listed as doubtful. Thamel noted that Weeks was going to try and warm up and attempt to play, but has now been ruled out due to an ankle injury, specifically a bone bruise.
The LSU Tigers offense hasn't lived up to expectations through the early part of this season, and the recent revelation of Garrett Nussmeier dealing with a torso injury from fall camp offered at least a little explanation.
