A large and powerful hurricane will likely stall over the Caribbean for five days, bringing devastating wind and flooding to Jamaica, Cuba, and the Cayman Islands.
With just over one month left to go with hurricane season, the tropics remain active. We are currently monitoring a tropical wave which has a high (80%) chance for development.
Forecasters said there was “significant uncertainty” about where the tropical storm will go and how intense it could become. Spaghetti models are one of several tools forecasters use.
