Hong Kong's deadliest fire in decades is raising questions about corruption and negligence in the renovations of the apartment complex where at least 128 people died.

A woman in her 80s has died after a fire broke out at a house in the early hours of the morning. Crews were sent to the terraced property on High West Street in Weymouth, Dorset, at about 03:45 GMT. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Dorset Police said her next of kin had been informed.

Two sisters were killed trying to rescue their disabled father from a house fire in Essex County on Thanksgiving, authorities said. Frantzia Fleury, 49, and Pojanee Fleury, 42, died in the fire that started around 5 p.m. Thursday at their home on 600 Mosswood Avenue in Orange, according to a spokesperson for the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.
