First Alert: Strong to severe storms possible late Friday
We have designated Friday a First Alert Weather Day as strong to severe storms are possible during the late evening into Friday night. A storm system driven by an area of low pressure will develop over the next few days and bring our storm chances to Central Illinois.

THE NEXT 24 HOURS: Friday promises to be a beautiful day! Expect a good mix of sun and clouds with high temperatures in the upper 70s to near 80. The wind will pick up out of the south with gusts upwards of 20 mph. We have declared Saturday, March 15 a First Alert Weather Day for the possibility to see multiple rounds of severe weather.
