Warm conditions continue Friday in Dallas-Fort Worth before strong weekend cold front
Almost all of the first week of November has had above-normal temperatures, following the chilly Halloween week that preceded it. According to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office, North Texas has experienced temperatures that have been over 10 degrees higher than normal.
A strong cold front will sweep through North Texas on Saturday evening, ushering in the coldest air of the season.
We should usually need our jackets by now in North Texas. For early November, the overnight lows are usually down around 50 degrees and the afternoon highs should be about 70. But for the rest of this week,
North Texas recorded 25 days of temperatures above normal, four days near normal and two days below normal in October, according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth. Temperatures began to cool off heading into Halloween weekend with highs in the low 70s.
