Google continues to turn the screws on free YouTube users, expanding a test that restricts access to song lyrics on YouTube Music. Users without a premium subscription have found that Google’s streaming music service only shows song lyrics a few times before demanding money.

Gemini can now create entire songs, including lyrics, with just text or image prompts. It will also create an accompanying album art for the track using Nano Banana. The feature is available widely for both free and paid users.

Free YouTube Music users now face a five-song limit for viewing full lyrics, pushing a key feature behind a Premium paywall..
