104 fishermen arrested for illegal hilsa fishing

Members of the Bangladesh Naval has detained 104 fishermen for illegally catching mother hilsa in the Bay of Bengal as a 22-day ban has been in place, with effect from October 4.
A mobile court on Monday fined four fishermen Tk 30,000 for illegally catching hilsa in the Jamuna River in violation of the government ban in Chauhali upazila of Sirajganj.
