In a winner-take-all Game 7 for the ages, the Los Angeles Dodgers bested the Toronto Blue Jays 5-4 in an 11-inning classic in the early morning hours Sunday to become back-to-back World Series champions.
The Dodgers have played in 23 World Series in franchise history. The team owns a record of 9-14 in those Fall Classics. The Dodgers made nine appearances when the franchise was located in Brooklyn, and 14 since moving to Los Angeles.
Shohei Ohtani has certainly enjoyed his two seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers following his stint with the Los Angeles Angels. After missing the postseason in each of his six seasons with the Angels, Ohtani signed a 10-year, $700 million deal with the Dodgers in 2024, and has since helped lead them to back-to-back World Series titles.
