One interesting selection was made by the New York Giants at pick No. 3, selecting Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter. There was speculation that New York might target a quarterback with their top pick, but the Giants would later trade into the No. 25 pick to take Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart.
