What a difference a year can make. After a season in which the Calgary Flames shocked the world and nearly made the playoffs, they’ve kicked off the 2025-26 season in just about the worst way possible.

In fact, it’s getting harder and harder to envision that Honzek will be returning to the AHL’s Wranglers. The 20-year-old forward from Slovakia has now suited up for nine consecutive games and continues to bolster his case that he’s ready for a permanent stay at the big-league level.
