Dome Fire sparked in remote section of Yosemite National Park on Tuesday closing Chilnualna Falls.

About 50 square miles of Yosemite National Park is closed to the public because of the Dome Fire, burning since Sept. 15. The closed area, east of Wawona Road from Chinquapin to Wawona, includes the Chilnualna Falls and Ostrander Lake trails, the park’s information office said.

A fast-growing wildfire burning in a remote section of Yosemite National Park has expanded to more than 1,100 acres and remains completely uncontained Thursday morning, prompting trail closures near one of the park's most popular waterfall areas.
