Shane van Gisbergen is on the pole for The Loop 110 NASCAR Xfinity Series race on July 5 at the Chicago street course. SVG, making his first Xfinity start of the season, qualified early in the first group and posted a lap of 1:30.

Fans were back in and around Grant Park on Sunday for another high-octane day of racing. This now marks an end to the final year of the NASCAR contract in Chicago, but there are options included to possibly extend the race to 2026 and 2027.

For the last three years, the event has taken over the streets of downtown Chicago. But as the two-day spectacle wrapped up this weekend, the future of the race remained unclear. This summer marked the final year of the three-year agreement, which NASCAR and the city of Chicago reached prior to the 2023 edition of the event.
