Prada Group said it named Silvia Onofri as chief executive of its Miu Miu brand, at a time when the label is showing resilience in a challenging environment for luxury names marked by waning demand for high-end goods.

Prada has appointed Silvia Onofri as Chief Executive Officer of its Miu Miu brand, the Italian luxury group said on Thursday. Onofri, former president of outerwear brand Napapijri, with previous executive roles at Bulgari and Bally,

WWD first reported that Onofri, who hails from Napapijri, was expected to join the Italian brand. The appointment is effective Feb. 26.
