During his introductory press conference on Monday, the Akron, Ohio, native gave a shout out to Boston College football head coach Bill O’Brien and credited him for helping get him prepared to be a head coach in the NFL.

Romeo Crennel coached Mike Vrabel in New England, and worked with him on Bill O'Brien's staff in Houston. He shares some interesting insights on the Patriots head coach.

Vrabel made his own path by first serving as a linebackers coach for Ohio State in 2011. He also worked as a defensive line coach for that program in 2012 and 2013 before taking his talents to to NFL, where he worked under Bill O’Brien with the Texans as the linebackers coach and defensive coordinator.

Bill O’Brien has a little more time to set up his coaching staff heading into year 2, and the first piece has moved into place. Per Pete Thamel, Jordan Thomas is expected to come on board as
