According to Jennifer Chan Lee of NBC Sports Bay Area, the San Francisco 49ers have significantly changed their special teams unit. In what can only be described as a surprising move, the team has made a change at long snapper and has gotten significantly older at that position.

The 49ers' special teams were a major issue last season and Pepper appeared to be a steady presence on that unit. Now they're moving on and creating more question marks for their roster and for a special teams group that desperately needs to improve in 2025.
