North Korea has performed its first ballistic missile tests in five months, days before U.S. President Donald Trump and other leaders are expected to meet in South Korea.

North Korea test-fired two hypersonic missiles on Wednesday, prompting protests from U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, which described the tests as unlawful and destabilizing. State media Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) on Thursday reported North Korea’s Missile Administration launched two hypersonic missiles from Ryokpho District,

The Castelion Corporation is now under contract to integrate its Blackbeard missile onto "operational" Navy and Army platforms.

Thus far, only Russia, the US, China, and possibly North Korea had the capability of launching long range ballistic missiles from rail-based platforms. India now joins this club.

North Korea said on Thursday it had tested a “cutting-edge” new weapon system using hypersonic missiles aimed at bolstering its defenses against the country’s foes. The launch was detected by South Korea’s military on Wednesday and was the North’s first of its kind in months.

Pakistan has tested multiple missile types over the last few years to increase its defence capabilities and also to ensure credible deterrence. The missiles range from ground-launched cruise missiles to medium-range ballistic missiles.
