After generations of service to the community, the South Tucson Fire Department officially closing a chapter Saturday as Rural Metro Fire is set to take over emergencies February 1.

Roughly 125 firefighters assisted at the scene. Dozens of fire companies and support agencies assisted in the response.

In addition to the Huntington Manor Fire Department, seven mutual aid departments responded to the scene, officials said.
