The injury occurred during a 13-yard scramble from Manning in overtime. As Manning ran up the middle of the field, he was brought down by two Mississippi State defenders. Isaac Smith wrapped Manning up around his legs and Kedrick Bingley-Jones made helmet-to-helmet contact with him as he was falling.
