British and Irish Lions coach Andy Farrell has suggested the New South Wales Waratahs may have deliberately over-watered the pitch at Allianz Stadium ahead of the match in which the tourists struggled to a 21-10 win.

The British & Irish Lions have questioned whether the Waratahs deliberately watered the field in Sydney, after they escaped with an 11-point win.

Mike Catt, the Waratahs attack coach, appears to have had some fun in winding up his former Irish boss Andy Farrell about the state of the pitch at the Allianz Stadium for the Lions ’ error-afflicted 21-10 win over the Waratahs.
