American Honda has recalled nearly 295,000 Honda and Accura car models due to an issue with the fuel injection electronic control unit (FI-ECU) software.

Honda said Wednesday it is recalling about 295,000 vehicles in the U.S. due to a software issue that could cause the engine to lose drive power.

Honda will recall 294,612 vehicles in the U.S. to fix an issue that may cause engines to stall or suffer a loss of power, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on Wednesday.

Honda “self-diagnosed this issue by monitoring telematics information and determined the need to perform the software update of the supplier part.”
