Venezuela's attorney general has launched an investigation into El Salvador's President Nayib Bukele for alleged mistreatment of Venezuelan migrants.

El Salvador's President Nayib Bukele faces an investigation for alleged mistreatment and human rights violations against Venezuelan migrants. The probe, initiated by Venezuelan authorities, also includes El Salvador's Justice Minister and prison system head.

The letter calls on officials to turn over any agreements between the U.S. and El Salvador regarding the detaining of migrants at the notorious CECOT mega-prison.
