SALT LAKE CITY ( ABC4) — A Delta Air Lines flight to Salt Lake City was forced to turn around midflight due to ‘unpleasant odor’. Flight 2311 left Los Angeles for SLC on Oct. 18. Onboard were 189 customers, two pilots and four flight attendants.
"Our crew followed standard procedures to safely return to Los Angeles after an unpleasant odor was detected onboard," a Delta spokesperson told PEOPLE
The Delta Sky Club is at the Salt Lake City Airport is the second largest to date, but it still feels cozy with a fireplace and nature-inspired designs and colors.
Rather than continuing the nearly two-hour journey with the smell lingering in the cabin, the crew decided to return to Los Angeles International Airport.
