Portland kicks off the holiday celebration featuring a festive musical program led by local musicians and a Portland high school choir at Pioneer Courthouse Square on Friday.

The annual tree lighting ceremony at Pioneer Courthouse Square will be held on Friday, Nov. 28, the day after Thanksgiving.The festive community event has brought large crowds to Portland's "living room" each holiday season for more than four decades.
