LSU Athletic Director Scott Woodward resigned on Thursday night, four days after the firing of football coach Brian Kelly and a day after Gov. Jeff Landry said Woodward would not hire Kelly's replacement.

Woodward resigned four days after Brian Kelly was fired and one day after Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry said Woodward wouldn’t make the next hire.

Just days after Brian Kelly was fired as LSU’s football coach, athletic director Scott Woodward is out too. According to Yahoo Sports sources, Woodward was fired not long after Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry (R) made it clear that Woodward would not be leading the Tigers’ search for a new football coach.

Days after Brian Kelly was shown the door at LSU, athletic director Scott Woodward is expected to be out of the job as well.
