Rudy Giuliani has to be setting some kind of record for legal drama. At the very least, he has to be the only former New York mayor to be held in contempt of court twice in one week.

A judge found Rudy Giuliani in contempt of court in the defamation case against him involving former Georgia election workers Ruby Freeman and Wandrea “Shaye” Moss, the second such finding this week.

A federal judge on Friday found former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani in contempt of court for his continued defamation of two former Georgia election workers.

Judge Beryl Howell, of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, found Mr. Giuliani in contempt Friday for violating a court order that prohibited him from making defamatory statements about two Georgia election workers, Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss, who successfully sued him for defamation and won a $148 million judgment.

It’s the second time this week Giuliani has been held in contempt. Manhattan-based U.S. District Judge Lewis Liman entered the contempt order against Giuliani after finding he had failed to adequately respond to Moss and Freeman’s efforts to obtain information related to their efforts to collect the massive defamation judgment.

A judge suggested jail time was possible if Giuliani continues to repeat false claims about two Georgia election workers.
