The Attorney General has rejected calls for the Court of Appeal to review the length of Southport murderer Axel Rudakubana's jail sentence. Southport killer Axel Rudakubana’s sentence was not unduly lenient and will not be referred to the Court of Appeal, the attorney general has said.

The sentence of a teenage who killed three young girls will not be referred to the court of appeal, it has been announced. Attorney General Lord Hermer KC made the decision after Axel Rudakubana was jailed for a minimum of 52 years in January.
