Chakravarthy, who got 14 wickets in five T20Is against England and was adjudged the 'Player of The Series', wasn't initially picked for the three ODIs against England and the Champions Trophy

Chakaravarthy was the pick of the Indian bowlers in the recent five-match T20I series that the hosts won over England by a 4-1 margin.

Ravichandran Ashwin also spoke about the forgettable forms of Suryakumar Yadav and Sanju Samson with the bat in the T20 series against England. While SKY aggregated 28 runs from five matches, Sanju did a bit better but only scored 51 runs.

Like all other teams, India announced a provisional 15-man squad for the marquee event. Chakaravarthy was not picked in that side. However, Ashwin believes that
