Harvesting Milkweed Seeds. I collected 150 pods from the milkweed plants in the backyard. There are 200 or so seeds per pod, which roughly comes out to 30,000 seeds to give away and plant! We burned the fluff off the milkweed seeds, which makes it easier to disperse the seeds, so the wind doesn’t take them away with the little fluff on them. It doesn’t hurt the seeds at all. We did three hours worth of this. It was so much fun. | Jan Centers
