We are learning how lucky we were Friday night. The house filled with gas after the lightning strike followed a sewer pipe into the house and ignited the yellow gas line behind the stove. The fire burned until burning a hole in the blue water line which then burst & extinguished the flames. It was enough smoke to set off the alarm but saved the kitchen from burning.
