On the International Day of Music, Ukrainians worldwide celebrate bandura — the sound of Ukraine and its national treasure. 🎵 Bandura is a Ukrainian national instrument, once especially beloved by the ancestors, the Ukrainian Cossacks. Although the totalitarian Soviet regime tried to ban it once, Ukrainians preserved their traditions, far from bandura's homeland in diaspora as well. Today this remarkable sound captivates, inspires and mesmerizes — a music that is truly one of a kind. __________
