This week, on the World Humanitarian Day, international Geneva came together as one to pay tribute to fallen humanitarian workers around the world. 19 August marked the 22nd anniversary of the 2003 terrorist attack against the UN offices in Baghadad, Iraq, which killed 22 staff. Last year, 2024, was the deadliest on record, with more than 390 aid workers killed.
