Sometimes after a date night my husband and I go grocery shopping. We’ve been doing this forever. A few reasons I love it: • grocery stores oddly regulate my nervous system • I’m not shopping on an empty stomach → better food choices • my head is clear, so meal planning feels easy • decision fatigue is lower at night • it turns an errand into quality time • we’re moving slowly instead of rushing home • it helps us reconnect after being “on” all day • it feels grounding and familiar • less impuls
