Dale Robertson, born in Oklahoma in 1923, became one of the most authentic actors in Western television history. Growing up around horses and even boxing professionally, he gained fame as Jim Hardie on *Tales of Wells Fargo* from 1957 to 1962. Unlike many actors, Robertson performed all his own stunts—riding at full speed, handling weapons, and taking on action scenes without a double. His horse, Jubilee, was a loyal companion both on and off screen. In 1959, *Time* magazine praised him as "prob
