Tip to identify gypsy moths: Egg masses are usually oval in shape & light brown to tan in colour. They can be found on the trunk of the tree, underside of tree branches, firewood piles, leaf litter & on the sides of buildings. Remove egg masses with a spatula or plastic paint scraper & be careful not to harm the tree. Soak in soapy water before bagging & disposing of them.
