In order to help a child with OCD, a parent must really understand how OCD works. Unfortunately, OCD is not intuitive and the way to help a child with OCD isn’t either. All too often in my therapy practice I have seen many parents unintentionally grow their child’s OCD symptoms because they are approaching OCD the same way they would anxiety. Sadly, I have seen therapists not trained in OCD make similar mistakes. With just a little bit of knowledge, parents can start making a big difference in t
